Coffee's Ready, Come and Sit on the Porch

Coffee is ready, gonna be a nice day. I think I’m gonna work on mud holes. I have a large one where I need to back up and have almost gotten stuck before. So I have to angle the truck to avoid the mud trap. My son told me to wait for it to dry up, put down a layer of lime, a layer of dirt, etc. Amazing! The lime caused the dirt to set up and it’s not the mud trap it once was. I didn’t get finished before it rained again. So I think I’ll move dirt and lime today. Supposed to rain tomorrow.

I learned something new -- lime on dirt to stabilize! Like it. I've got a spot or two like that. Woohoo. Repairs coming. A pile of heavy clay soil, too. Trying this right away...rains Thur.

Have some "bicep tendonitis" in right arm hurts! NAISADS & rest/limit use. Well I'm right handed -- how's that gonna work out? Good luck.

Coffee & looking over work schedule. glad feed storage tubs are all full. Bad time to have this issue. Moving a ton isn't recommended.

Have some "bicep tendonitis" in right arm hurts!

I feel your pain! I have it in both arms. Started in my right arm so I started using my left arm more. Left arm said "too much" and developed its own problem. NSAIDS yes, ice if needed Rest is best - but that doesn't happen around here and probably doesn't for you either! Hope you feel better soon!

Worked today but carefully and moved heavier lift jobs out a week. Reset dental areas today, I can still lift those tubes Also applyied some comfrey/plantain oils I had made. Took NSAIDS. So far, just achy but --- time for more pills! Gotta keep the inflammation down. Oh, a few minutes of hot water in morning shower felt good, relaxed the area.

You sure learn fast which way to not turn that arm!

best time to take those NSAIDS is right before bed, adjust amount until it works but not too much. drink plenty of water and maybe take with food if you have stomach issues from them. they can help, but they can also create their own problems.

deep tissue massage can also help, but it may also hurt like crazy and you won't know until you try, the downside with that is that if it doesn't work it will still hurt like crazy. NSAIDS and make sure to drink enough water after massage.

these days i don't take any pain medications on a regular basis but when i screw up my back i am allowed a few days of rest and 400mg of ibuprofen before bed and that usually will resolve most of it and the monthly massage and chiropractor if needed will usually take care of the remainder (i do not let the chiropractor adjust my neck and i've not needed to see him in a few years).

One of the domicile beasties brought us an offering of freshly dispatched mouse last night. Have no idea from whence it came. Years of posturing against the squirrels and birds outside manifested in a real kill. Two of the clowder are very smug this morning

I used to find gifts, often partial anatomies. but these ferals rarely have leftovers...or the chickens eat it!

Usual morning -- arm doing well. No real pain, little achy deep at bicep. The plantain/comfrey oil is doing it's job. I get some massaging in as I apply. These skinny arms don't need a therapist my left hand works great. I'll just do the light lift jobs a couple more days -- to be good as new that's hopeful reality. Take NSAIDS @night & morning with my coffee.

Rains tomorrow . Maybe a little over 1/2". The weekend rains predicted a few days ago seem to be deleted. Glad for that!! Have some farm work to get to & rain was not part of it.

Beautiful weather today so I'm taking advantage of it by doing laundry and hanging it on the line.
Tonight's dinner is HOMEMADE Meatball SUBS ! We've been going over there most Sat now to help with "farm chores".

Chilly and a light breeze on Monday, partly cloudy and much windier today... Blowing like it was mad at the world this evening and rain coming in and supposed to be even windier tomorrow... temps are not as cold this evening, but feels cold...
