either of those are horrible choices but i am as guilty sometimes (making black walnut cookies today, just have to get them frosted).

recently i had one of those types of donuts, it was sweet and nothing beyond that at all. give me a single good cake donut instead any time, no glaze or frosting needed, but chocolate frosting is acceptable in an emergency. our favorite local donut place (our favorite only local donut place) changed their chocolate frosting from one that had chocolate flavor to one that doesn't. i no longer get their chocolate frosted cake donuts.

and while i'm rambling on about nothing... we had this carrot cake the other day that was beyond edible (and for me that's saying a lot) as the frosting and cake both had so much salt in them that was all i could taste. they must have really messed up their measurements or something as it was easily 100x more salt than even someone who likes a lot of salt would like.

i did mention it being so bad to the serving gal and she explained that they changed their supplier of the frosting but that cake was still sitting there on the line a half hour later when we left.
