Septic issue hopefully addressed this Friday
Tree roots found a way in our main line this spring. My neighbor and I dug it out by hand. We replaced a section of PVC that was cracked. Not a fun job at all, rather nasty job actually, but we got it done. It probably would have cost big bucks if I called in a company to fix it. But other than several hours of labor it was free. Because between my neighbor and I we what the materials needed for the repair.

Hate those restless hours - might as well get up. Up at 5:45 this morning to beat the heat. First cup down, sun is up, gotta get busy.

yes, especially when it is this hot out later on. we got out this morning early and did some weeding. everything though is always so wet from the dew that it can be a lot more messy.

Goats LOVE to do brush clearing!! some companies use them to clear right of ways in terrain mechanical devices cannot go. For some goat herd owners, it's their business -- rent a truckload 😂 usually the have LGDs that accompany them.

I can tell you, pen some in an area & they'll make it a cleaned up park in a few days! Amazing.

Using a lot of sheep on these solar farms. The goats aren't good there -- they wanna dance on the panels 🤣

My observation... All goats really do is eat. If they can't eat it, they head butt it and find something else to eat.

A son of a friend of mine rents goats for land clearing. The way he talks about it, it's apparently a pretty good business model.

I recall it was Chicago O'Hare International Airport using goats, sheep, llamas, jackasses and maybe even other grazing critters, to manage vegetation growth. But it could have been another airport.

I took tank to the farm store today (his favorite store). I had 11 bags of feed on the flat cart. I paid for 11 bags, so no issues with that this time. But tank snuck back in the front door of the store while I was loading up farm truck. He gets exicted and starts kicking his feet when the automatic door slides open, like me he doesn't get out much and is easily amused . Apparently the automatic front door also works for dogs

While in the parking lot I hollered for him, no tank. I beeped him, no tank. then some guy said he seen him go into the store. I'm like seriously? 😐 I went into the store and where was he? Well by the tub of pigs ears of course. With some nice lady holding his leash. thats why he didnt come when I beeped him, he couldn't. Plus he was getting second lovings from his favorite cashier. I said thank you to the nice lady and said you can drop his lease. Then I told him to drop it and he dropped the pigs ear. Then I said come, it's time to go back to the farm and he followed me out to the parking lot.

I'm not sure if he just wanted second pig ear or second pets from people inside the store, second lovings from his favorite cashier or all the above. This is the first time he has wondered off on his own and it felt kind of weird when he did. He would have found his way out of the store when I beeped him if the nice lady wasn't holding his leash. I can't say anything bad about her. She was very nice, caring and helpful.

I reckon I have to keep a closer eye on him from now on. I only put the leash on him when I take him to town. But here lately, he's been very good about listening to me while in town. So I don't even hold his leash anymore, he drags it around. I guess i'll have to start holding his leash again. Little sneaksteer he was.

and they also tend to eat things they shouldn't: wires, plastics, batteries, switches, ... (they're not ever going to be space faring creatures if they keep eating the control panels)...
