Cold today - BOOOOO!

We're going to be in the 40's today, 50's tomorrow but back up to low 70's by Wednesday before another drop. And, it's raining. We need the rain, but I would have been more appreciative if it had waited until after I had chores finished. Goats will be getting a late breakfast.

Neeeeed to finish shopping.

I do not like this! It's 38 degrees this morning. Coffee is life, lol.

Freshly showered and getting ready to take DH to his toe(nail) trimming appointment. I do NOT trim toes, lol. I tried once and ended up giving him an ingrown toenail. Now he sees a podiatrist every 3 months to get a trim. Plus - he looooves his doc. I swear they are brothers from another mother, lol. DH is a social creature - he needs an occasional outing. Not me - I'm a curmudgeon and prefer the company of 4 legged creatures, lol.

Need to find warm clothes. I've lost a few lbs recently and most of my stuff is loose. Put on a pair of winter water resistant 'cover all' pants yesterday and at one point had to pull them up from around my ankles, lol. It's hard to keep your pants up when your hands are full. Thankfully, I had a layer of leggings under said over pants!

Need to feed us a little something before we head out. I know DH is going to want to do lunch while we're out, but we can't today. I'm expecting a package that has to be signed for and we have a short window of time to get this appt. done and get back home.

There was ice on the water buckets this morning.
Not ready for that...nope!

Well, as days go, yesterday wasn't great. No great tragedy, but a royal PIA that hasn't been resolved yet. Plumbing - ARGH! I have a leak in a line coming from the hot water heater. WHY? I dunno, but while I generally don't mind doing small plumbing jobs, I'm not sure I'm going to tackle this one. Way back in the day the first dH installed fancy stainless metal lines that will "never, ever, ever give any problems." I dunno... The water seems to be coming from where the fancy line is fitted into the pvc? Something like that... The fitting looks sketchy - it's not fancy stainless steel that will never, ever give any rust. The fitting is just plain ol' some kind of metal and it's rusty and I can't budge it. The last time I tried to force a rusty fitting off of a pvc pipe - I broke off the pvc. I really don't want to do that so I may call in the professionals or if I decide I can go a couple of days I know my son would be happy to look at it for me. Just not sure I can spend two more days sopping up water. I've got the valves going to the heater turned off right now but geeze, if I wanna wash clothes or dishes or bodies - I kinda need hot water. I suppose I can go through turning it off and on when needed - but what a PIA!!! I don't need another PIA right now. Welcome to my very challenging life - ARGH!!! :he
