Oh my goodness @Justanotherguy. Look at those little red cheeks! You're building memories that those little ones will never forget!

It's too cold here (just north of the 29th parallel). I'm quite over it, lol. I think we get a couple of decent days before the next round of 'way too cold.'

Coffee is LIFE! ☕

One thing I forgot to do :( put the ends of the hose up on something. I found one end beneath a foot+ of snow. I need to find the other end, so I can water the moo crew. I did remember to top off the water though before the storm hit. So the moo crew has enough water for 2 more days.

Just found out that we can put up the new house before removing the old one. What a load of stress off my mind. Was worried about freezers a lot.

Going to do a big clean out when moving. Anything useful and good condition can just go in the Buy Nothing group to get rid of it. Some things can go to the road with a free sign like the metal shelving from the bathroom we won't need anymore

Did this group used to be active? I see lots of old posts but very little activity.

unfortunately we lost a very active person who was a big part of the site and it gets hard to find people who want to write (instead of just clicking and swipe-ing).

we have a number of new people who show up and say hello, but they don't seem to want to write a lot about what they are up to...

if you want to read a lot of things by some people we have long threads we've posted to for years (in the journals section). enjoy, ask questions, etc. :) i really don't mind if someone new goes back and reads a post from some time ago and they want to know what's up now or how it's gone or ... well, anything at all. i'm here to chatter away - i enjoy writing and more importantly i enjoy conversing in depth about a lot of things.

as a general thing for myself, i'm not here to watch videos (i can get those on other sites) so i tend to skip over them most of the time unless there's a specific technique someone is illustrating and they can't get it across any other way.

Car that I de-iced yesterday, no has no heater. Guess something under hood is frozen/ too cold with heater workings.
The car heater "doesn't work"?, didn't work before the cold spell?, just started?? Anywho an easy fix, if it's the problem is a common problem and generally overlooked. Check the coolant level. If it's not full enough it won't have the fluid to reach the heater core. Hopefully it's not the heater core. Those are more $$ and usually a pain to get to.
It's a good place to start. It's easy, cheap, and if low needs topped off anyway.
The truck heater doesn't work and the car can't drag the trailer or job box from job to job, so next week I'll be without heat. Last month when we had some HEAVY freezing fog I was scraping the ice off the windshield every half mile while driving 20mph tops. The car heater doesn't really keep up below 40 when I crack the window to smoke.

Some people go on hiatus a lot. (me) If I wasn't off work this week, home a minute between jobs, I wouldn't be on this week at all and the weekends would be a maybe, probably not. They (the office) were wanting me in MO this past mon, not knowing when they asked me to come weld test I was still on another job 6 days a week.

Side note I got a little more time off this week. I figured after the weld test yesterday, I'd have to go straight from the shop to the job and start today. Instead I start Mon and just have to do some site specific "on-line" training. I hate everything going that way. When I asked yesterday about doing it at the shop he said just use your phone, I showed him my phone and he said yea you can come back. I will be doing later on DW's laptop. That's how I'm talking/typing to ya'll now.
