    Minnesota is heating up

This is so sad. The poor man pleaded, couldn’t breathe and was gone. The worst thing about the protests is the violence. Burning businesses that had nothing to do with it is absolutely wrong. Insurance does not cover civil unrest or riots. The small business people whose livelihood is destroyed...

    Coronavirus Concern Up

@farmerjan I just had to laugh. BJ had to go to doctor today for checkup. Everyone had on a mask except the doctor. LOL LOL So it’s not healthy for healthy people, but what about the health compromised? Doesn’t wearing a mask protect them from the rest of us? Out of respect for others, it IS...

    What's for dinner?

Last night we had buffalo chicken wings, baked, from the CCX we raised. We had English peas and roasted beets. I have never had roasted beets, we loved them! A tiny splash of raspberry vinaigrette salad dressing and they were delicious. I will make those again!

What did you do in the garden today?

Yesterday I pulled weeds. I cleaned up an area so I can plant cucumbers. I need to make my spicy sweet pickles!! I also strung hay twine for The Kentucky Wonder Beans and for the long beams from Thailand.

This is awesome. It is a beautiful place, can’t wait to share your journey with you. It is a good feeling to raise your own vegetables and meat.

What did you do in the garden today?

Looks like I’m not going to have any blue Hubbard squash. The vines stalled, now they look real dead. Oh well, the watermelons are spreading and same with the Amish melons. I’ll look and see what I can plant in place of the blue Hubbard.

That’s great on the sales! I think people are a little more interested in securing something to eat these days. This virus pandemic is like the eve of a major hurricane landing-that lasts for months.

I canned 8 pints of pickled beets a couple of days ago. There are still more out there, I'll finish them up and plant something else there.

what to do on a rainy day?

The sky was getting dark, I went outside to feed before it started raining again. I just made it before the rain started. Wings are smelling good. I sure needed a day of nothing. LOL
