I have found that most lawnmowers, that can be "had for the taking", only need a $3 diaphram replaced....and that takes, practically no time at all to repair......but it sure won't crank with a "busted" one.

Discarding due to downsizing, or moving is one thing.....but, I'm talking about dicarding to get something "newer" and for no other purpose or reason than that.......wasteful, don't you think?

It NEVER ceases to amaze me at the things that people will "discard".....you are really lucky to have scored it cause you know the very next person to see it would have gobbled it up.....in life, timing can be everything.

Yep....gonna have to commit that idea to memory. Beats the heck out of "push, pull, push, pull, push, pull, repeat."

I keep one in the shed (one that has the molded 'gripper handle') and fill it with ant killer when I am ready to treat fire ant bed.....less wasteful than trying to pour out of the sack and easier to handle.

I take a 50 cent newspaper and turn it into $4's worth of seed pots using "The Potmaker".....no more wasting money on 'peat pots'....and a little less waste for the landfill.

No other nation on earth is more wasteful than the good old U S of A....but as things tighten up, there just may be a change "in the wind"...although, I predict it will be "light and variable". As long as people "have to have" new stuff and discard their perfectly good stuff, I will scarf it up...
