Ive heard that for horses you need at least 2 acres per horse, 7 acres per horse if it high up and not much water for the grass to grow...I havn't heard anything about pigs goats etc...I would think they would be "hardier" than a horse? as far as eating diffrernt stuff?
For my county fair, I have to buy a pass to get in every day. The cages have to be cleaned out by a certain every morningas well as feeding/watering, and then evening feeding can be done after a certain time. I don't camp there. The animal stays the duration of the fair (at most of the 4 or 5...

I am currently applying for a Usda Rural Home Loan, they put me hold for the time being, apparently they are out of funding for people in my family size/income bracket. I do know the home has to pass an inspection to get loaned on.
for me my lack of breastfeeding in public was only on an as needed basis. I didn't think anyone would mind, but it made me uncomfortable, so my milk production slacked when I had to nurse in public, just a weird thing with me I guess.
as someone who nursed both my babies....that sounds horribly uncomfortable...both hanging out weighted down with milk? Many mothers experience "let-down" on the opposite side at the same time....sounds like a messy nursing session too me!!
Hello, I am in North Central Washington. I'm not exactly self-sufficient, but definitely attracted to the thought! I am a homeschooling mother, we have chickens for both meat and eggs, and for showing, and we have a garden. I am just getting into canning and hope to get real good at that soon :P
