Letter to Obama from 4th Grade Teacher

People can get used to anything, as proven in Sweden. Sweden is also... "a constitutional monarchy, based on a parliamentary democracy. The affairs of the government of Sweden are directed by a cabinet of ministers, which is led by the Prime Minister. The cabinet and the Prime Minister are...

Letter to Obama from 4th Grade Teacher

You and I see eye to eye, for different reasons. In the end we are in the same place. The middle class we are so proud of is an unnatural occurrence. It has had its shot and proves in the end to only be sustainable if someone works to sustain it. It is bound to falter when either someone from...

Letter to Obama from 4th Grade Teacher

"The principal vice of capitalism is the unequal sharing of wealth. The principal benefit of socialism is the equal sharing of misery." - Sir Winston Churchill The notion that government "should" control industries and regulate business for the good of everyone is a new one, in our land. That...

Funny thing about any aisle - it has two sides. And both sides can be full of a lot of rhetorical, podium pounding.

    Fermented Saurkraut?

I saw something recently where the author sealed his fermenting vessel and used a vapor lock, like when making wine, to let the gases escape and keep bacteria out. But one reason the kraut doesn't get more than a surface layer of...

    The BEST automobile for SSers?

Id go along with one of the Jap trucks - I got one and it is as reliable as a mule. Any decent American truck, like an f-150 6 cyclinder, have good reputations, too. The parts are not hard to come by, there are always a few around the junkyard. As for diesels, I cannot offer any help.

A Few Short Completely Random Funnies

A man was driving out in the country one day when he saw a three legged chicken running down the road. He was amused enough by the sight to drive along side it for a while. Then he noticed the chicken was pacing him at 30 mph. "Pretty fast chicken," he muttered, "I wonder just how fast it...
