Tomatoes today. First batch is in the cooker.

Snow on ground. Almost noon & still temps in 20s. Would be a good day to be canning 😁 Maybe I'll bake, instead. Or take a nap :lol:

the spores can travel through the air or by flowing water. if they land someplace that is suitable they'll grow and send up mushrooms...

the ones we get here at home that pop up from time to time are the morels and i usually don't eat them i just let them spread more...

I did foraged mushrooms once. Problem with foraged mushrooms is that the critters like them as much as we do so they often have bug...

for fresh mushrooms we're usually paying about 0.16/ounce at the big box store. for canned ones at the stupormarket i think it runs...

we eat a lot of mushrooms, fresh or canned. good yums :)

These are so ridiculously easy to do and end up being so tasty and convenient

Oh, and this was done in the new electric Presto pressure canner. Worked great

15 pints total. Did 8 pint jars and 14 half pint jars. Only a teeny tiny waste when cleaning them
