Thanks everyone. Can I give them seaweeds or fish? I live in New Zealand, and literally a one minute walk away from the beach, so that would be awful conveinent.
The good hubby has just about finished building me a quail house, now I need to know what to feed them. I would like to suppliment a bit of what they eat. Are they like chickens, and can eat from the garden and sprouted grains, bugs kind of thing or is it very different. I have looked over at...
I used a goat milk formula. It was really expensive, but in my opinion definately worth it. He is 4 now and has no allergies to anything, can have lactose, which was a conern for me. But my last was 10 pound 5 ounces, so he just wanted food!!!
Hi all, I am paying $1.99 a liter, times that by just off four and you have a gallon, yip thats just under $8 a gallon LOL. Can I come and pick up some $3 a gallon gas, I'll pay shipping!!! ha ha ha This is what happens when you live on an island at the bottom of the pacific!
Hiya, I have used all kinds, disposables at night, because babies wakes less if they are not wet!! and that means a lot more to me then throwing out a nappy, but I would use cloth during the day, even if out. I didn't have a job though so I had the time to do the extra washing.
I used both the...
Thanks wife, I wondered if it was something like that. My Mum used to grind our wheat for our sourdough pita breads that we had for sandwhiches when i was a kid, and all I could imagine was soaked soggy wheat coming out like sausage meat!!! But what you said makes much more sense:P
Wife, if I was to make bread with spouted grain, how would one grind the wheat? Sorry if you have explained it before, or it just seems awful stupid
Merino textel lamb which is a specific wool breed, and the meat is supposed to be amazing. Awesome wool too, do you guys get that kind up your end of the world?
NZ lamb is really good. I have never seen anyone ever feed sheep or beef on grain. I have never seen a feedlot. Someone a few months back tried to get a consent to do one and they were told to get lost. We have lots of grass, but it doesn't really snow, so everything is outside all year round...
Thanks for posting the prices, that was really interesting. I live in NZ and we pay way more than that for NZ lamb here. I was at the supermarket the other day. rack of lamb, $32.99 a kg!!! I almost fell down. Then promptly went and got the hubby so we could laugh at the price together :D
I even have raspberries, stawberries and boysenberries growing in containers, they are growing berries like crazy. I agree that plants don't really care all that much. In the past I have grown peas and beans, espacially dwarf ones grow really well, and who doens't like fresh peas?!
