Thanks guys. Yep, it's almost right next to the other plot. The soil looks very good on this one, though it was rotovated as appose to hand weeded, so not quite so good on the weed front. We also got another plot which I planted Nozawana on today, I'll get a pic up soon, It's not quite so...
Very nice! The ones we have are cropping incredibly well, but the larger varieties, which are enormous, lack flavour. Will be growing centiflor types next year as well.
Unfortunately we were too late to grow any from seed this year, so we have a few different varieties from the local garden centre, but nothing really exciting. Looking forward to San marzano next year.
Thanks for the positive comments. I'd highly recommend the beans Wannabefree, there an open pollinated variety called 'cosse violette', they are cropping extremely well and have stood up well to the bugs.
So, finally an update. As you can see things are starting to come on. Still a little behind our neighbours, but have been able to stop buying veg, and within the next couple of weeks should have more than we can eat ourselves. At the moment we're cropping cucumbers, peppers, aubergine...
