for bananas I dip them in lemon juice and honey, and it keeps them from getting brown and gives them a good flavor. I love bananas dehydrated, they taste just like banana candy!!!

I am making beef jerky today. My family can't get enough of jerky, and now that I am making it myself they wont go back to prepackaged jerky. Also banana chips, I love banana dehydrated, it tastes just like banana taffy.

I am new to dehydrating, and I have a question about beef jerky. My question is when drying beef do you have to use jerky cure? My dehydrator came with three packets of it, and I was wondering if I need to buy more or is there a recipe someone has where you don't need it.

I am looking for a food dehydrator, and there are so many of them out there. I was wondering if somebody could recommend a good one that doesn't cost too much. I basically want it for jerky and dried fruit.
