Yep, he turned 2 years old on Friday! Oct. 28th.
How fast these two years have gone by!
He sure grew a lot!
He is about 6lbs lighter than he was at a year old. But, he is taller. He is just starting to eat more, maybe that means we will soon be out of the 90's here during the day!
Yes he did, and he was getting bits of it as I was working too. I thought it was funny that he didn't even try to take it off the counter! I had even pointed to it, as if to give him permission to take it, but... he wouldn't. I guess he knows taking things off the counter is "forbidden." Which...
Whenever we had leftover meat scraps, I freeze them in small amounts on a cookie sheet. And then store them in a ziplock bag in the freezer. Then I can add one to Cherokee's dinner each night.
I got the series of photos above while doing this. Cherokee was so funny... He wouldn't touch any...
Well, I will get my chickens on July 26th, when I return from visiting my daughter in Colorado. In the mean time I am getting things ready.
The Sun Flowers and Morning Glories are growing nicely.
The vines are starting to flower now! I just love these!!

I was walking the dog and found this "stand" that someone was throwing away. It was black wrought iron. I got out my paints and make it like brand new.
Before.. (well, not really I forgot to do a before photo, this is after I put primer on it)
Here is the after photo, i had wanted to use it...
It has taken a year since I found the old four poster bed that is now a Garden Bench. I found an old chair that I turned into a table, by using the section that was cut out of the foot board of the bed to make the sides of the bench. Here is the new Chicken TV Patio area as of yesterday...
Don't be sad... we can have chickens again! They changed the distance from 50ft to 20ft from the nearest neighbor's dwelling.
So I was able to put my coop back where it was! I still need to put the "top" on it, and cover it with chicken wire and hardware cloth. The run area is bigger this time.
