Right now it's all up in the air, but we've officially put an offer in on a hobby farm closer to family and work so no more 45 minute commute, it would be 4 minutes now :) Waiting to hear back from the sellers whether they accept or not.

Here's the place we're trying to buy:

And here's what I put online for our current house... we've had a couple people offer to rent-to-own the house, but I don't know if we'd qualify for financing without a large downpayment.

Any critiques of my ad would be great... I can't seem to get my camera to work with the computer so I don't have inside pictures to post yet (and the inside is really ugly anyway, lol)

Fingers crossed we could get the farm... my horse wouldn't have to be boarded and I could get sheep, pigs, more chickens and a cow... it would be a dream come true :)

That is such a cute picture of your house with the double rainbow. :D

I don't have any critique to offer, but I wish you luck! 50 acres would be awesome! :ya

$82,000 for 50+ acres?!?!?!? Hope you get it!!!!!! As far as your current home, do you have any crown land nearby? Is it fairly remote? I'm just thinking of the ppl out there who want a hunt camp etc, or for snowmobilers etc. I know when I lived up north, ppl loved having a camp, for a second vacation home. Maybe that could also be a possibility?

Great place your looking at, 50 acres. Wow!!!

Just a couple things to say about your add the line "This house is being sold as is/where is as a fixer upper." I think "As is." would be sufficient. And the "It needs a lot of work to make it pretty, but it's got potential to be a gorgeous little home" Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Maybe just cut it back to "Great potential!!

I think you are on your way to a great adventure. Good luck in selling.

There is some crown land near our current house but you can get a hunting camp around here for less than $10K with a small lot like the one we have... (we paid $4300 for a small camp on 5 remote acres) so a 3 bed, 2 bath camp would probably be excessive for most people. If you get on the trails behind our house on an ATV, you can get to Fundy National Park and the coast within about 1.5 hours... it makes a great day trip. The house isn't that remote, but the trails provide access to remote land quite quickly.

Shawn is so excited about the 50 acres... there's enough cleared that I could keep my horse in the backyard, but most is treed with Tamarack and Poplar so he's sharpening his chainsaw just in case we get it :)

They are spliting this 50 acres off a larger farm, the half they are keeping is a Raspberry U-pick.

This farm is on the same road my boyfriend grew up on, his sister still lives there... it couldn't be more perfect.

This is going to be the longest day of my life... the sellers have until 5pm to let us know if they accept our offer. :)
