we had thunder and lightning but i slept through some of it. when i woke up at various times during the night it was raining. i haven't checked the rain gauge yet but it is probably about an inch full.

Slept wonderfully last night...after a full day of home & yard work. Peeked out to overcast skies. Light rains coming.
every once in a while i need a day to do pretty much nothing planned. however, today was not one of those days as i had all those peppers to go through and about half of them got cut up and put into the freezer for future chili making (including enough for making some chili this weekend). that still leaves me with two four gallon buckets of Beaver Dam peppers to give away tomorrow and some other smaller bell peppers in a box. Mom said she'd take them and then they will be gone. sure i could keep them and let them get ripe and eat them but really i do have enough already...

Down to 35 this morning at 6:45 am. Did cover some plants last night. Long, intense work week almost over.
Wife is suggesting she wants some soup canned. Need to review the larder first.. remember I had already put the canning stuff away...lol

Yikes! Better you than me, lol. I want cooler weather but something in the 60 - 70 range will do just fine!
First cup is hitting the spot. Countdown is on for DGS and his gal friend to get here on Monday! I'm excited!
