Great article, thanks for the link BBrooks.
The difference is exactly that middle set of steps. It is a natural function that has taken place for thousands of years. It's when we start mucking about (pun intended) with it that we really start causing problems.
Hurray for better living through chemistry!! :sick :sick
DH found that for stuff like asparagus, kale, cilantro, brocoli & cauliflower, they last a LOT longer if you treat them sorta like a cut flower.
Cut the stem at an angle, put them in cup of water (so the bottom of the stem is barely covered) and store in the fridge.

I did welding, creed speaking, parliamentary procedure (flop) extemporanous speaking & prepared public speaking (2nd place state!). Let me tell you, that...
Dixie looks like the goodyear blimp. Poor girl... I swear she gets bigger every time I look at her.
150 day due date is June 15, I don't know that she will make it that long, but this is my first goat birth. Her ligs are still nice & strong and she is milking the pregnant female drama for all...
Ok, he said they scrounge around and eat the dead ones in front of the hives, but don't mess with the live ones. Interesting.
SD, the guineas don't scratch like chickens do and the most they have ever done in his garden is peck a tomato or two that had fallen. He has no ticks at all.
