:welcome
Hi! I'm not in Georgia but I'm not too far from where you are!
It seems like there aren't many from the deep south on here, glad I'm not the only one.
Aw, I am so sorry that happened to your little goatie!
Don't beat yourself up, we have all been there in one way or another.
Here's hoping you find him a good home and soon!:hugs
I have had kombucha left in the bottom of the glass turn the dishwater into gel overnight.
Now I am sitting here horrified. I have rinsed a little extra kombucha down the sink if I don't want to drink a squiggly in my glass.
Is my septic tank going to come to life?
I'm suddenly very very glad...
:lau
I love reading the pet/animals section in the local classifieds. I think my favorite is "blue healer puppies"...
They must be special dogs with a very strong faith.
"YOU ARE HEALED! WOOF!"
I had problems like that at first. I found that if I give it a good twist once it is in, it pops open completely and forms a good seal.
You can give it a gentle tug and if you feel suction, you've got it open and in the right spot.
Oh Dac! I'm so glad I'm not the only one. I've been twitching over the flowers since the picture went up. What are creeping flocks? Chickens that spy on you at night? :P
Oh Tam, me too!
I had a horribly awkward conversation at a very fancy restaurant recently. Someone was telling the table about my chickens (not me, I don't enjoy being a sideshow) and they mentioned that you don't need a rooster to get eggs.
One of my grandmother's ditzy friends was baffled by...
I used plain ol' veg oil (another discussion for later, I know there are problems with that), and egg yolks right out of the coop. Both room temp.
This latest batch I tried the one egg plus one egg yolk, same results. Can a person overbeat mayo? Or underbeat?
Why is my homemade mayonnaise lousy?
It tastes delicious, but the texture is kinda lacking. It does not get as thick as it should. I have made three batches. All were edible, but none really spreadable, they were all too thin.
I tried reducing the oil to 3/4 cup, and that made it worse. I...
That is one seriously adorable baby!
I know nuttin' about goats, but it might make you feel better to hear that two of my four dogs have great big umbilical hernias, and they're all grown and healthy and they cause me all sorts of problems unrelated to their hernias :)
Also, I want some goats...
Ldychef2k, thanks to you, I just got to send my Man the most hilarious email...
Thinking of you...http://porcelainpoetry.faketrix.com/
Bwahahaha!
And I roll over. My dog doesn't eat the TP. She did, however, eat about a foot off the curtain that covers the bathroom.
ETA: ok, I poked around...
