I cleaned the chimney on Monday and built our first fire Tuesday night. We're looking at a cold rain for the next 3 days so it looks like we'll need to keep it going for awhile.

Same here. 5 strand electric, 5' high and the goats could care less. They just step right through and laugh at us. We picked up 11 rolls of 4' tall woven wire at an auction this summer and we're going to see if that works.

The Banty's are at it again. Came home from dinner last night and heard peeping in the back yard. Went out this morning to find 8 new peeps. Not as good a hatching as last time. There are 14 unhatched eggs. I guess the new roo isn't quite as, uh,... busy as the one we lost back in July...
