Yikes! Whenever I've taught Sunday School it was crayons or colored pencils ONLY! I would never be able to return a child to their parents with their Sunday clothes with paint or glitter glue. It's a tough call because that stuff is fun. But I figure that kids only get dressed up like that...
Oh lucky you! Those first eggs are such a thrill. Our chicken's have stopped laying all together. I think I may put a light in their coop after Christmas.
We never use peanut oil because my DS is allergic. From what I understand it is really good for frying foods because it has a higher smoke point than vegetable oil. It is also considerably more expensive. I don't know how it compares as far as cholesterol levels go.
Ha Ha Ha :gig
I totally understand. Our house doesn't have any carpet or I might be with you. The thing that I hate is glitter. Way back when I was working we had a nanny who LOVED glitter. I came home one night and cooked a pot of rice. When it was done I opened the pot and there was...
Quail, do you live anywhere near a Habitat for Humanity resale shop? There is one just a few blocks from where I work so I stopped in to se what they had and they had quite a few NICE stoves for pretty cheap. Course there's also craigslist.
Does anyone have a recipe for play dough? My kids are really too old for it but they still like to play with it sometimes. I really don't want to go out and buy any though.
Thanks!
Ewwwwwww! Oh my goodness I don't know what I would do if I found that in my kitchen. ( I do wonder what was going through his little rat brain when he hauled off the pacifier though.)
I dunno, if he is really pleased with himself for buying it... I'm only saying this because i have been in your situation where my DH spent quite a bit of money buying me something I didn't really want. So of course I opened my big mouth and told him and seemed ok at the time, gift was...
I am very good at fixing mechanical things, and this is a relatively simple fix. I don't mess around with gas supply lines etc. (My dad does though :))
I am attempting to fix my own furnace. I will let you know how it goes when the part comes in on Thursday. I can't imagine how much I'd have to pay if I had to call a technician, probably $500ish!
It's pretty cold in the house right now, I bet I'm saving on my gas bill to boot.
