I've got this on my front porch. ($60 at an auction)
Can it be used for cooking (what do I have to do to clean/season it) or should I just put flowers in it & be done?
Thanks for the info! I just can't see the thing not making a huge mess of an orange, but I'll put on a raincoat & let you know how it works.....
Ha! over $25 (w/ the shipping) for the one on ebay! I feel like I got such a deal on this pointless thing! I'm such a sucker for old contraptions...

I've got Spike (fluffy white Silkie) in a different pen w/ hens.
Then ther are Sancho & Quixote, two Buff Orps who roam the property (and attack...
My neighbors (all locals) agreed w/ my 'diagnoses' and told me the racoon was pretty far gone & would have died soon. I burned the body in the burn barrel, because burying or trashing in the county dumpster seemed like a bad idea. Did I do the right thing?
Anyway, just wanted to show that even...

I had a rabid racoon (I think). Even for a city girl, it was easy to see this thing had issues. It was 5 PM in August (broad daylight) I heard a weird hissing noise and looked up to see it 20 feet away and coming right for me. It was...
I had a rabid racoon (I think). Even for a city girl, it was easy to see this thing had issues. It was 5 PM in August (broad daylight) I heard a weird hissing noise and looked up to see it 20 feet away and coming right for me. It was staggering a bit and it looked disoriented and glassy eyed. I...
