    black cohosh for hot flashes?

I took it for about 6 months and it made my symptoms so much worse. but it worked for my mother. but that is the same as all different herbs. I take pedadolex for migraines and it works like magic for me.. others don't have as much luck..

    Upcycled/repurposed projects (MANY)

This is the post that made me buy the chicken nipples in the first place so thanks! I may go to a bigger system like this but the .99cent bucket with 4 nipples on the bottom works beautiful! I'm going to add another bucket for later this summer when the heat hits as i think they may squabble...

    Garden trellising

depending on your type of squash the wood pallets would probably work well for them. I did try a bigger squash up my fencing one year and ended up with used panty hose tied hammock style to keep them from breaking the vines! :) looked silly and I had to ask a few neighbors for their used...

    Garden trellising

I've had that off and on but now when I walk the fence each day to check my babies I just try to move the developing fruits out of the links/wire. I know some will say that, that is too much work but I am a plant checking freak when the summer comes.. I'll be out there about 6 to 7 times a...

    Garden trellising

I've been thinking about getting a few hog panels myself do you do like I do and buy the big 8foot T posts and wire them up about a foot so to get more height out of the panels like I do my fencing? it is easy to train the plants up that little gap and easy to hoe under. I didn't do it on my...

    Got Chicken Nipples?

my local TSC doesn't carry them and a friend of mine works there.. she almost popped a cork laughing when I asked if they carried them before I ordered. lol I have to say that they have a problem at TSC with their ducklings(and the mess) and that bucket/nipple set up would really benefit them...

    Garden trellising

I trellis a butt load of veggies and wouldn't do it any other way. I dont' have pallets but I do use 2 by 4 welded wire fencing for small squash/cucumbers/pole beans/tomatoes and even the small french melons(charentis?) I rotate thru my 150 feet worth of 6 foot tall fencing. Each 50 foot...

reCaps - pour spouts for mason jars

Oh and if you keep the mayo jar lids and pop a real mason jar flat in them they work great for jams and stuff too.. regular mouth size. I wish I could take credit but my aunt had her lids from the cheese on jars in her fridge.

reCaps - pour spouts for mason jars

I use the green tops off from parmigiana bottles for shaker tops on my mason jars.. they fit on the regular mouth jars really well. while I do kinda have a plastic phobia I have been putting my parma cheese into a mason jar with their own top for years so that the cheese is not sitting in...

Me too. I've done a few experiments with floating lettuce and baby boc choi over my gold fish and they did well until the roots got too big and the fishy ate the off haha.. but I ended up with enuf baby boc choi for two dinners and we harvested lettuce for about two weeks. not enuf for huge...

Too much cottage cheese! Any ideas of what I could do?

OH YUM! that would be nice. I've often added a scoop of refried beans to my taco meat to make it stretch farther(without telling the kids of course) and I'd bet beans and cottage cheese would be yummy and creamy. The kids love my refried beans now so I don't have to hide them.

Too much cottage cheese! Any ideas of what I could do?

Still my favorite way to eat it.. we just got a fresh batch of tillicherry black peppercorns and the fresh cracked pepper and creamy cottage cheese is just yummy! but. I only have this once in a great while.. darn lactose intolerance. at least I can take a couple pills now a days to help...

Too much cottage cheese! Any ideas of what I could do?

mix with mashed potatoes and stuff some pirogi's. I've also blended it smooth and used in place of sour cream on top of baked potatoes too. My favorite is just blop of it with salt and pepper and a few good dill pickles- I can not stand it with fruit. To me that combo wastes fruit and...

Rabbit nest box from pallet wood

with the wire bottom won't the bunny have a hard time eating the night droppings? When we had bun buns I remember the vet telling us to have a solid floor on the nesting box/area so that they can eat their poo at night(different type than the little cocoa puffs that you normally see). Just...
