Another thing the meat slicer is good for is making jerky. Take a chunk of meat that is about 1/2 frozen (it is easier to slice that way) slice to desired thickness and use un your favorite recipe.

If it wasn't for the 40 lb requirement I would say get a rottweiler or Rottie cross. Rotties are in the top 10 smartest breeds of dogs. They were bred as herd & protectioon dogs. The last one I had loved to chase squirrels and even caught them from time to time. He absolutely loved his family...

I am getting ready to build a smoker out of an old bread cabinet that is about 5 feet tall, a foot & a half wide and 2 feet deep. figured on using the parts from an old gas grill for the burner. So far total cost is $0. Will post pictures when it is done.
