Plastic coffee cans and bleach bottles

I hope I am not duplicating threads... I have many one pound Folgers coffee cans and gallon bleach bottles. I use the milk jugs as mini green houses, but the coffee cans and bleach bottles are not clear. Anyone have ideas to use these jugs and cans? I hate tossing them, but the collection is...

    stopped by GoodWill today

The CEO of Goodwill makes 5 million dollars a year:( I love thrift store shopping. In our community, there are several. I do avoid the goodwill, but with lots of choices, that works fine!! My favorite is Teen Challenge. They are a non-profit that helps youth get off drugs, get skills, and find...

The Sheeple do what the media tells them to do. I was so disturbed, I finally unplugged the tv! Whew! happiness and peace of mind again!

    Plants--easy money for some!

Great idea. I dearly love using fresh; and also love using the food dryer to dry for my cupboard. I see in the store how expensive sprigs of this and that are. I am thinking about pots of different herbs in the few bare spots I have left to put something to preserve.

How about drying the thistle to sell the seeds for birders? We gather it to feed our wild birds because I can't afford to buy the gourmet seeds in the store.

Happened just this way at our house too. I remember my mom peeling the fur off the tongue- not my favorite part of the process.:( I have boiled heart and sliced for sandwiches, diced super small for adding in gravy or adding to ground meat for tacos, or when we make sausage. If my family...

    Struggling Family in Economy

AMEN. I saw this story and commented on it in yahoo. I had a botched surgery 2 years ago and lost my job because I can't wear a shoe. As a waitress, I have to be able to wear a shoe to work for sanitary and safety reasons.. so I understand losing my job. My husband is unable to work and has...

    Painting time

I love painting. Almost every spring as part of spring cleaning, I repaint. I love to haunt Home Depoe and Lowe's for mistakes or custom orders that people don't pick up. I get my gallons for $5.00 so I can afford to paint every year. For my neutral colors, our recycling depot has 5 gallon...

Oh so quietly, as the sun came up, coffee steaming from mugs, the clever hunters stalked their prey up the rugged oak. huh huh huh.. be vewy vewy quiet.. I'm hunting missletoe.

    ...

When my hubs and I make fire starters for camping, we use dryer lint, shreddables, his sawdust from woodworking, and parafin wax. I put lint and our paper from the shredder inside, then mix sawdust and melted wax. I then plug one end with a dollop of the wax and drizzle wax on the rest of it...
