HannaLee's Journal- Back to Real Daily Life

I found seedings in my garden! At least 8 spinach, 10-12 lettuce and a very few carrots. Most of the garden is still without life, but I'll take what I can get! Still have the questions about the bunny, if anyone knows...

HannaLee's Journal- Back to Real Daily Life

My family was taken care of so well by family and church friends during our recent hospitalization. That in itself was such a blessing! I didn't have to be concerned about *if* my family was eating well, *if* my husband had clean clothes, etc. I could keep my focus on watching over my...

    Ldychef2k: Notes from a Wannabe - Ldychef2k fesses up.

Kris, what a nice picture! I wonder if you are still hurting and aching, especially with this cold weather? I have found that drinking kombucha really, really helps with joint pain. I am double jointed and had the associated arthritic aches several years ago. They have disappeared, unless I...

HannaLee's Journal- Back to Real Daily Life

She went through surgery a couple of days ago. That was sure tough on mom and dad! She slept most of the rest of that day. Then she had a pretty good day y'day. Today the ENT came to back out the drain that's in place in her neck and said he was "moderately amazed" at how well she's healing...

    Make your own paper?

:welcome I'm fairly new here, too. I do not make paper, but follow the blog of a couple of ladies that do. It's a very good blog, all around. http://littlehouseinthesuburbs.com/ Sewing basic clothes is a great SS activity. Knitting socks, hats, etc, too. I crochet well, but haven't...

What do you substitute for 'cream of X' soup?

I am certainly going to try that canning recipe. I use this recipe several times a week. I fix it up as I am cooking dinner, since I'm not brave enough to can the dairy. I know I posted it elsewhere, but it seemed to fit in this thread, too. Cream of Chicken Soup This recipe yields about...

I baked 2 pumpkin pies today, along with preparing fudge. What Do You Make and Sell?

I haven't done it in a while, but I make 100% whole wheat bread, using freshly ground flour, of course, and sold it. I also offered freshly rolled hot cereals and healthy cookies. I got so many customers that I had to stop! I couldn't get the kids school done and bake so much.

    Anyone in California??

I caught a beautiful 5 lb. 4 oz. bass out of Clear Lake once, in my belly boat. I have good memories of that area, even if we refer to it as "NotsoClear Lake" There was lots of algae where we went . ;)

    Low carb eaters.....

Sadly, though, I would have to move first, and that will not be happening any time soon. I get goat milk from a friend weekly, but her goats are freshening. A couple more months and we'll be back in milk. I can't wait!
