I found seedings in my garden! At least 8 spinach, 10-12 lettuce and a very few carrots. Most of the garden is still without life, but I'll take what I can get!
Still have the questions about the bunny, if anyone knows...
We are getting back into the routine of real life. My daughter had her last followup appt today and was cleared for all activities and doesn't need to cover the incision anymore. Thanks for the prayers!
Now for questions!
We were given a baby bunny a couple of days ago. Cute little thing...
I have a few books on it, but haven't decided if it's for me. Here's a couple of paleo blogs:

My family was taken care of so well by family and church friends during our recent hospitalization. That in itself was such a blessing! I didn't have to be concerned about *if* my family was eating well, *if* my husband had clean clothes, etc. I could keep my focus on watching over my...
Kris, what a nice picture!
I wonder if you are still hurting and aching, especially with this cold weather? I have found that drinking kombucha really, really helps with joint pain. I am double jointed and had the associated arthritic aches several years ago. They have disappeared, unless I...
We were discharged on Saturday afternoon. We have our first followup appt tomorrow. She is doing well at home and we are praying that we don't have a recurrence.
I had 'terrible' news when we got home. I had just planted my garden with winter veggies...several kinds of lettuce, carrots...
She went through surgery a couple of days ago. That was sure tough on mom and dad! She slept most of the rest of that day. Then she had a pretty good day y'day.
Today the ENT came to back out the drain that's in place in her neck and said he was "moderately amazed" at how well she's healing...
Please pray for my daughter Rachel. We are in the children's hospital and have been for a couple of days she is having surgery this afternoon for an abscessed lymph node. It happened suddenly on Thanksgiving night. She has been on IV antibiotics for 2 days now and we'll be here for at least...
:welcome
I'm fairly new here, too. I do not make paper, but follow the blog of a couple of ladies that do. It's a very good blog, all around.

Sewing basic clothes is a great SS activity. Knitting socks, hats, etc, too. I crochet well, but haven't...
I am certainly going to try that canning recipe. I use this recipe several times a week. I fix it up as I am cooking dinner, since I'm not brave enough to can the dairy. I know I posted it elsewhere, but it seemed to fit in this thread, too.
Cream of Chicken Soup
This recipe yields about...
I baked 2 pumpkin pies today, along with preparing fudge. I found out last minute that we are staying home for Thanksgiving, so I had to shop today. :rant Tomorrow will be ham and turkey, french bread rolls, lemon meringue pie, and all the assorted goodies. Not much I can do today besides the...
I haven't done it in a while, but I make 100% whole wheat bread, using freshly ground flour, of course, and sold it. I also offered freshly rolled hot cereals and healthy cookies. I got so many customers that I had to stop! I couldn't get the kids school done and bake so much.
Here is my very favorite roll recipe:

Make sure you use bread flour, not all purpose. They will not be the same.
If you are looking for wheat rolls, here's a quick and tasty one...
Oh, I *knew* that you could do it!! How happy is your family? Are you ready to get the "Queen of Fudge" title? Here's my other great fudge recipe: http://feedingthecrew.blogspot.com/2009/10/layered-mint-fudge.html It's just as easy and very impressive. I take this to potlucks, by request.
I caught a beautiful 5 lb. 4 oz. bass out of Clear Lake once, in my belly boat. I have good memories of that area, even if we refer to it as "NotsoClear Lake" There was lots of algae where we went . ;)
Sadly, though, I would have to move first, and that will not be happening any time soon. I get goat milk from a friend weekly, but her goats are freshening. A couple more months and we'll be back in milk. I can't wait!
