I'd love to have a horse or should I say...DS12 really really REALLY wants one or 3 or 4. Right now we really don't have a place to keep a horse or the resources to feed one for long. I just can't resist looking in the farm/garden section. :P With only a backyard, I'm still debating if we could...
Just what is Cushing's Disease in horses? How does it effect them? What do you all think about this? Thanks for any info.

I found this CL ad for Draper Valley chicken backs & necks for .38 lb and 7 case min purchase. Cases run 30+lbs each. It's a darn good deal, but that would be ALOT of chicken. I know even 1 case would be more than enough to feed the dog & make broth....till it came out my ears. I couldn't...
You did slices? And enough brine liquid to fill to 1 inch or less from the jar rim? If so, yes they should be okay. You could also turn the jars upside down. You're better off with less solid & more juice in a jar than the other way around. I'd be more worried about them if there was too many...
Duct tape? It might work....or you can get some apoxy sealant type stuff at the hardware store that comes in those tubes and uses a gun like thing to apply it. You'd have to put the bottle into some kind of sleeve sort of thing like in the video. Good luck with that, it's a great idea!
I agree with Moolie, you're pickles should be just fine. Not having enough cukes in there isn't going to effect the end pickle result. Just use this as a learning curve, enjoy your pickles and next time......put in more cukes! :thumbsup
No, only one is 1/3 Jersey, 1/3 Holstein, 1/3 Brown Swiss.....the other cow is 1/2 Jersey 1/2 Holstein. You're right that a mixed breed wouldn't command top dollar. I was just thinking that if we had the acreage & set up to have some cows I would seriously consider this ad. If we had that kind...
:gig ya got that right! Did you know they have 'Slug races' in the Elma/McCleary area? I've never been, but used to work with a lady from there.
I think your bunny's cute. I like him just because he's different. As for the roosters, they are both nice looking in their own kinda way. It would...
Even though I am one of those 'inexperienced' I was thinking the ad was kinda strange too. He probably is trying to market to newbies that don't have a clue. But from my perspective, I can see alot of positive here.
1.) Jersey's are naturally a more docile breed
2.) Jersey's give alot more...
So sorry about your chicken :hugs The longer she's alive the better chance for survival. I too had a hen that was attacked by the neighbor dog. I found her in a pile of bloody feathers & thought she was dead. When I checked her, there was a big hole thru her neck/breast area & I could see right...
Okay....that is just awesome!
I've never seen this guy before & think it's amazing how he works.....nevermind he's messy, wasteful & goes thru alot of brushes....it's all good :thumbsup
SD...even when they know where the nest is and where they are 'supposed' to lay....is NO sure bet of them doing it right :/ Locking them up might help, but it's also possible when they are let out free they will lay 'all over the yard' again. :hu
How hot is it getting where you're at? We are...
Here's my contribution for the day.......

Can you remember 'where you were' 10 years ago as we were being attacked?
I had gotten up to get DH off to work that am and snuggled with DS12 (2yo at the time) on the couch while DS10 (2 months) was...
