I would like to ask about the whole using feral cats for rodent control. It is an intriguing idea.
I have to wonder what other problems may arise using this method. I know that cats would probably cause less environmental issue than poison, but wouldn't using cats decimate the local song bird...
Assume the microwaves positions! LOL Has anyone seen that episode of Everybody Loves Raymond, where all the guys are in the kitchen heating something in the microwave and they turn sideways and cover their 'family jewels' with both hands.
We use the microwave pretty frequently in this house...
:/
Never using black plastic in my garden after all these horror stories!
I know people who raise plants in covered beds, often have to worry about rats and mice under the plastic eating their young plants. The plastic holds heat and many animals are attracted to that heat, especially through...
I think this goes back to that 'balance' each and every one of us seek in our journey through life.
Some just wish to learn to do a few things themselves, grow a garden or raise rabbits, while still others wish to be as completely independant from the world around them and still others are...
Let's see, so far I got a metal collander and a GPS from my mother. Also recieved a blue very soft throw blanket.
I'm getting a prescription and contacts from my mother in law.
I got a trio of rare Silver Fox rabbits from my hubby for Christmas.
Adam got a coat from his mother and another...
She had 3 more later today. She smushed one, or it died of some cause or another(he looked crushed), but the other 2 seem fine.
She's being culled from the breeding program, last litter she had 5 and lost 1, compared to doe #2 who had 9 and lost 1. I bred her just to see if it was a fluke, and...
Honestly, I wouldn't know.
This was our first time making homemade wine. We were just given the recipe and told how to do it by an old beekeeper that's been doing it for years. He grows his own grapes, but his wife won't let him use them for the wine, she says they're better off in the...
Sadly, many people, especially business folk do not believe in being truthful and honest anymore. They will decieve people in order to get what they want, it is all to common practice.
I know of a man who is closing his shop in January, but refuses to inform his employees, because he's afraid...
Can you further explain what you're talking about?
Not trying to be rude (and it might just be me) but I don't understand what you're asking or talking about. Like I said, it might just be me.
It is a very sweet wine. Personally, I favor the sweet wines and this is definately sweet!
Both Adam and I like it. A friend who recieved a quart reported she really liked it too. So far, so good. Even Adam's mother who isn't a big wine drinker tasted it and said it tasted like wine and that it...
Just be careful when grabbing the scruff on an older/larger dog. It is a very dominating move and may elicit a violent reaction. Especially if the dog is not used to people doing it.
A safer way of using this method is using the collar versus grabbing the scruff. Grabbing mimicks biting, some...
I posted this elsewhere and then realized I should post it here as well.
This is a recipe an old beekeeper shared with me, he makes it every year and gifts if out for Christmas. Adam and I used this recipe this year for the first time with great success, everytime Adam sips a little while...
Guess I better update this thing.
Well, it's December 23, wow it really snuck up on us.
The 11 rabbits born in November are now about 7 weeks old. We weighed them today and they are roughly 2 lbs.
We met a couple of kindred spirits a couple of weeks ago, they had a female rabbit they...
