Coffee's Ready, Come and Sit on the Porch

On the first cup of coffee. Wake up temp at 61 but that's supposed to change. Chance of rain today at 70%. Hard freeze possible Th morning. Not sure if it'll reach as far south as us, but weather folks say to be prepared anyway. Just ugh!

Cool and damp and yucky out there. I'm kinda over it, lol. Not that what I want is gonna change Mother Nature's path! Just gotta grin and bear it. Walked out to the pond this morning to check on my Mulberry trees. The bigger one in the backyard is already budding out. One of the ones by...

    What's for dinner?

I've got some collards in the garden that are calling my name. Think I have a ham hock in the freezer that might want to join the party. Need to go pick some and get 'em cleaned up and in a pot. YUM!

    What's for dinner?

Ya'll are nothing if not creative! I wouldn't have thought to do that. However - it reminds me of this past Christmas. My DIL's mother was bringing the stuffing and she mixed up the little boxes of cornbread mix with boxes of blueberry muffin mix. Um.... I gotta say that blueberry flavored...

Coffee's Ready, Come and Sit on the Porch

Yep, winter isn't giving up just yet. I mean, winter here isn't like winter for most of ya'll, but I still reserve the right to complain, lol. I got quite accustomed to the 80-degree days we had (yes, in February!). I don't like this, and we're supposed to stay cool for at least a week. 🥶

    Frustratedearthmother's Journaling Journey

I'll keep a little in the freezer - a gallon or two at most. I don't plan on milking 3 long term. Just trying to get some udders evened out right now. Will likely just milk one or two for the long haul, but since I milk share with the kids, I don't have to milk every day if I don't want to...

    Frustratedearthmother's Journaling Journey

Nah, I still have plenty of pens. It's just easier on ME if I don't have them all spread out, lol! It has - and I'm tired! I want "regular life" back again!

    Frustratedearthmother's Journaling Journey

Still (always) crazy busy. Twelve new kids! Thankfully, I get a break for a couple weeks before the next round. I moved some of the moms/babies yesterday. Most of them were NOT grateful. Creatures of habit, dontcha know. I have three does that are overproducers in the milk dept and their...
