Thanks for the site. That's the direction I wanted to head in originally for our yard. I really enjoyed the video. I'm going to do more research into forest gardening.
My mother made an inexpensive birdbath out of 4 terra cotta pots that were stacked and a terra cotta saucer on top. She painted the outside of the pots and saucer. Then, she had run a metal rod through the drainage hole, put rubber gaskets and washers on each end and finished it off with nuts...
It looks lovely. I'm working on the video right now. Apparently, either my computer isn't buffering correctly or the website is super busy. I'm guessing it's the second. I'll give my opinion on it when I've finished it but so far it'svery interesting.

It's the same here in Colorado. The line will actually dry the clothes faster than any dryer I've seen. If I could just figure out how to get the clothes not quite so stiff, I'd be set.
I second the motion for The Backyard Homestead. In fact, it's in front of me right now. I never would have thought about raising rabbits if it weren't for that book.
I always overload the kids with yogurt when they are having intestinal issues. I look at it like this. Their body has hit the emergency evacuation button for a reason. Surely, the good bacteria will be evactuated with the bad so why not add more good to hopefully balance everything out. I...
