What size mylar bag should you use for 5 gal buckets? Also, what size and how many 02 absorbers do you need for 1-5 gal bucket?
Any one have a source that is reasonable for these items?
Thanks.
Really, how dumb do they think we are? No wait, don't answer that- I know the answer. Mr. G also stated that we borrow $0.40 of every dollar we spend. if we don't raise the debt ceiling we will only be able to spend what we bring in.
Really? That is what all of us do anyway, why should the...
Well, I watched the Nat Geo Show and I couldn't believe that anyone as serious about prepping as these folks were would be on TV! The last thing in the world that I want to do is to advertise what I have!
Do the Pheonix folks think that a few handguns will keep the screaming masses from taking...
Hmmm, I like the idea of forming my own country-
One where if you didn't work, you didn't eat.
If you abused children, the eldery, the infirm or animals, the same treatment would be visited on you.
If you bought, sold or used drugs, you got one chance to get clean. The second offense gets...
WZ- this is my fear as well. I have a six foot high fence but am under no illusions that this would keep anyone out of my garden, coop or hive if they were starving.
Really? For us- the combs were the ONLY thing that worked.
It took time, but we got them all. At my daughter's school last fall, the lice had been going back and forth (one family did not treat).
Nothing else would work but to physicially remove them. I did use petroleum jelly with the...
These are all good items. A couple of items that no one has mentioned are mouse traps and lice combs.
I do have some cats for rodent control, but feel like some cheap mouse traps would be good too. And the thought of living with head lice gives me the hebbie jebbies. :(
I was thinking of keeping it at our property- out of site, and using it as a mobile triage area.
but you are right- the druggies would certainly be after any and all drugs they could lay their hands on.
Alright, that has made my mind up. Next group purchase- an used ambulance. M
y medical buddies have been getting supplies here and there- one is an ER MD and you simply cannot believe the stuff that gets thrown out. What a waste.
No hurricanes or fires here, mostly tornados. I live near the Ohio River, so flooding does happen, but our house is about 4 miles from the river and on high ground, so I don't worry about that too much. We have had some small earthquakes, but not usually too damaging.
The big debate among...
OK that is absolutely the most awesome thing that I have ever heard of. I am so jealous.
ETA: How does one acquire a fully stocked ambulance? How much would this set me back?
AHH, Duct tape, the magic cure all of home repair. That is a good one.
KevsFarm- I will take some pics when I inspect this weekend and I will keep you updated on my bees.
Abifae- that is so funny. One of my prepper buddies has over 1000 bars of Hershey's chocolate bars packed in airtight bags with oxygen absorbers. I am taking all my supplies and heading to her house if the world gets too unbearable!
:D
They are mongrels really but ones that do (supposedly) really well in IN/KY. They have Italian somewhere along the line, but I am not sure how "pure" they are.
I suspect that they have a good percentage- they are really mellow and easygoing. When I put the nuc in, not one got aggressive and...
True, they aren't that unusual, except for maybe the quantities. I am so excited, I just got my first nuc of bees last Saturday. They are really coming and going so I can't wait to take a peek this weekend to see how much foundation they have drawn... Sorry, off topic..
I am wondering if I have overlooked a vital item that I may need if TSHTF.
I have a large stockpile of razors. Why? Store easily, don't expire, and most importantly they were FREE. I figure that I can always trade them for other items that I may need.
So tell me, what do you consider...
There are some awesome suggestions on the all purpose cleaner thread that I posted earlier. I have been playing around with a couple of different versions, but washing soda, borax and vinegar are in most receipes.
I like to clean with vineger and water, but don't like the smell. Is there a receipe out there that cleans well, but won't smell like I have been pickling. I love the smell of lavender and rosemary so I would like to add EO to make things smell good.
Any thoughts?
FF-They are simply beautiful. I think that a mixed breed may be the ideal way to go, now that I think about it.
I don't want to offend any small dog owners, but I do think that most of the bad behavior comes from a lack of training. Many ownwers spoil their little furry "children." If I...
