AL, you need to get some soaker hoses. That at least puts the water at the roots where it's needed. A sprinkler just lets the water evaporate before it hits the ground. We don't have a water source for our back garden so hubby puts a big cattle waterer full of water on the back of his dump...

We thought we were getting a real rain yesterday, but it was just a sprinkle here and there, mostly there cause none of it fell here. We did have a cooling down, low humidity type day, so we got the bean fence strung up and they're already grabbing and climbing. My squash is finally starting...

We're charging more for our produce this year. What with gas prices, seed prices, and having to plant some things more than once due to floods, hail, and freezes. It's so worth it though for fresh - not from another country - stuff. (See, I'm trying to be better and not name names).

I've kinda been feeling that way too. If it weren't for my chickens and the Farmer's Market, I wouldn't leave the house. I've got a bad case of "I don't give a sh*t" and it's pretty dangerous to be around me when I'm like that. And my husband just doesn't get it!
