I have used crayons to color soap. I think it is about 1 inch crayon per pound of oil. Grate, melt and add at trace. Use crayolas for the best result (non-toxic, etc.) I really like using soapmaking colors better because it is less hassle and easier to mix. Haha, beets turn your soap a dead...

Just grate and measure out a cup, or whatever amount you decide to use. When I use my own soap, that is what I do, since I have never bothered to weigh the bars that I make. You can vary this amount to suit what you need. There are many recipes for laundry soap that are variations on this theme...
