avocado on garlic toast. simple fare but it was perfect. ok, i was trying to find my garlic press and didn't find it so i did not get the garlic with the avocado how i was hoping and i got distracted at that point and just gave up on the garlic alltogether but that is how things can go this...
they are great beans and i'm glad they're working out well for you down there. :)
boo! hope next year works out better.
my garlic was lifted late but looks ok so far. i'm curing it indoors, there's just not enough room in the garage for them plus i also had to get the onions in and...
glad things got better.
vegetate is an interesting word - i'm hoping to do some of that here today...
my back doesn't usually like it when i'm trying to pull out weeds that don't want to come out easy. yep, i can feel it this morning. breakfast will be here soon and i'm thinking a few...
it is a four letter word... i don't like being cold either, but i'd rather be cool than hot, especially when i have work to do out there.
bean harvest season is starting and also the tomatoes will be coming in too so it's getting towards crazy time (if it wasn't crazy enough around here...
i did get the onions lifted yesterday and dried off a bit and then the dirt wiped off before putting into some boxes and brought into the garage. i'll need to rotate them at least once a day so they can properly cure without rotting - i don't have any place to hang them.

no idea what is going on other than the pressure is now different with the new water heater but i've tried turning off the valve to the hot water heater...
haha, yes, i know it is edible and have eaten some of it in the past and could eat it again if needed. the problem is that it doesn't taste like chocolate. i do like it ok, just i like dill, fresh beans, peppers, onions and garlic a lot more and, ahem, chocolate...
maybe combined with lemon juice? i made gallons of what i thought i was going to turn into peach lemon butter but it turned out that after doing the first batch i had no desire to do another so i just canned the peach and lemon sauce as it was and called it that and eventually it got eaten...
we often take a can of mushrooms and use those instead of anything else. it works well for me as i avoid a lot of calories that would come from the Miracle Whip and ketchup i'd love to pile on with plenty of fresh chopped onions.
the hot water heater replacement works, but the faucets are not putting out very cold water. we've not had this sort of problem before (almost 30yrs) and it's not isolated to one faucet so there's something odd going on... normally the cold water is very very cold so it's really different to...
