    Good desert plants?

Hi there. There are various types of deserts - some at low elevation, some at high ones. What is your annual rainfall? Approx where are you located?

    What's for dinner?

I made a beef dish the other day. Now typing this up, I cannot for the life of me remember the name. I'll have to come back later when I remember. But it was good, even tho I didn't have any adobo peppers in a can.

Coffee's Ready, Come and Sit on the Porch

Gearing up for the County Fair has me working half of each day this week. Thats me, having a rest from the concrete floors. This year, our entries are up by 42%!!!! Last year we had 944 entries. This year, there are 1343 entries. Looks like canning is resurging in importance.

    WHAT ARE YOU CANNING TODAY?

@Mini Horses There is NO Federal mandate to print expired/use by/best by on ANY food product. Its a sham. ONLY infant formula requires a hard stop date. Sadly our ignorant Director of our Pantry mandates that anything older than 6 months from today's date, be thrown into the dumpster. GRRRRRR...

    WHAT ARE YOU CANNING TODAY?

I've been in the kitchen for three straight days. I purchased a steam juicer and a Ball electric water bath unit. Since I've been getting sooooo much free fruit and veggies, I've been dehydrating and juicing. So far, I've got 9 quarts of mango juice and 3 quarts of apple juice. I still have...

Coffee's Ready, Come and Sit on the Porch

I've read that the area is very hilly. So all that rain runs off the hills and ends up in the Guadalupe River. There are vids of it "coming" along a stretch.
