    Talk to me about GUNS

Well, I must say, I'm not typically the gun totin' type. I'm usually armed with a crochet hook, vacuum cleaner, or a stir spoon. I believe in letting nature be in general - God put it there for a reason. However, in an instance like this where there was a copperhead snake in the middle of my...

What do you WANT to learn to do?

I'd like to learn how to throw clay and make pots - or whatever else I want, build a kiln, how to hunt wild game, how to make cheese, how to can and dehydrate food, repair and maintain engines, butcher, become a better sewer, build a stove outside (as in the kind made of clay you traditionally...

    Talk to me about GUNS

Rick494, welcome! and thanks for chiming in. I appreciate you input. My children are a concern for me. I have a 13 yr old daughter and 6 yr old son, so anything I do must take them into concideration first. I will definately teach them respect for guns and how to use them. I think it's just...

    Talk to me about GUNS

:lau We have a couple, but they rarely come out of hiding. One of them is still in the box, and we've had it for years. Honestly, I didn't want any in the house and kicked up a fuss when DH said he wanted it...and I mean a FUSS. But this whole thing got me thinking, especially since we...

    Talk to me about GUNS

Last night, my foundling Beagle Lady was bitten by a copperhead snake. Luckily, today she is fine. There is still some swelling and pain, but she is getting around fine, eatting and drinking running and wagging her tail. She was bitten on the lip and I'm pretty sure it was either a dry bite...

Tomatoes. I'm sick to death of picking them. Funny enough I picked almost every single last tomato from my bushes almost a week ago - green or not - but left 4 plants. I still have them on the 4 out there. For a month, it was great going out in the morning and evening to pick them, but I'm...

Funny and sad at the same time.

That makes me feel like I need to take a couple of chickens camping with me to start fires. Just set 'em in a rock circle under a few twigs and wait

You should call around and see what other companies say. That much income from selling eggs is generally considered incidental and shouldn't effect anything.

I would say that is it exactly. As for all roosters....I'm not sure most people can tell the difference between hens and roosters

Maybe the belt slipped or broke. That's easily fixable. Don't stress to much. I hope you sell the ducks. Maybe she'll go for it.

    Do you ever . . .

Do you ever secretly wish that our country would go through a SHTF scenario to shake us up and get us back on track? Nah, can't say that I do. I just wish something/one would knock some sense into elitist, condescending snobs. (I'm sorry, but from your description, that's how they sound to me.)
