had a few friends who kept one as a pet, would not advise that for anyone who is casual... mainly nocturnal and loved french fries. that's all i got other than so many teef.
i had nibbles of this and that, mostly some cottage cheese with some crackers on it (something different) - i considered potato chips but didn't want that much salt (and we're low so i saved 'em for Mom :) ). also had a few leftover tomato chunks.
today i should pick some beans before watering...
finished another batch of tomato canning last night. 12 quarts.
today will be warmer, mid-to-high 70s, pretty much the rest of the week too into the low 80s again.
no rains, i'll do some watering today and tomorrow.
there was frost on the roof this morning when i was walking back from taking out the trash. no frost on the ground though. the local weather station said it was as low as 42F. i don't ever recall them being off by that much before but we are in a low spot and it was clear and still last night.

last night was some cottage cheese with tomato chunks on top and then some pepper. i've not had pepper in a long time - i think i need to replace these pepper corns because they're likely over 20yrs old.
i'd agree that bees are not easy and can be expensive to start with and require a lot of knowledge and care to go longer term.
worms were my favorite. i already miss them. absolutely low cost (i think i put all of maybe $30 into keeping them almost 15yrs and got many hundred lbs of worm...
finished up this morning and realized we're almost out of jars so we'll pick up a few more cases to get us through what we have left to do.
26 quarts done between last night and this morning.
