    finished another batch of tomato canning last night. 12 quarts. today will be warmer, mid-to-high 70s, pretty much the rest of the week too into the low 80s again. no rains, i'll do some watering today and tomorrow.

    there was frost on the roof this morning when i was walking back from taking out the trash. no frost on the ground though. the local weather station said it was as low as 42F. i don't ever recall them being off by that much before but we are in a low spot and it was clear and still last night.

    we buy it in 3lb containers most of the time and then we often reuse those containers many times for giving food to people we cook for.

    finished up this morning and realized we're almost out of jars so we'll pick up a few more cases to get us through what we have left to do. 26 quarts done between last night and this morning.
