But I have a momma opossum hanging around that looks just about like her and her litter. Yes... cute is the word to describe her and her babies.

Today I told each of my granddaughters the same thing separately. I said hey come here I have something I want to tell you. I said I would like it if you never forget what I am going to tell you, can you do that for me? They both said yes. I said OK never forget pawpaw loves you no matter what, he will always love you. I think I took both of them by surprise... I don't tell them that I love them near as much as I should.

After my ganddaughters left, I heard our neighbors' childern outside playing just before dusk. Then I remembered I promised to give the first apples to the neighbors boy I think he's in kindergarten this year, maybe first grade? So I walked over to the end of their driveway and called his name and said I have something for you. One of his older sisters followed. I had him pull the front of his shirt out to form a pouch and I picked all the apples off the trees and put on his shirt pouch. His dad came over as we were finishing up and said you know you really didn't have to do that. His son ran up the driveway to show his mom the apples, he stopped mid run turned around and yelled thank you. It brought a big smile to my face. I said to his dad, I know I didnt have too. But I promised him last year when he helped me plant some of the trees in this row, that I would give him the first apples out of this row. Besides if I can't keep a promise to a child, what's that say about me? His dad said you got me there.

It was this morning first thing, Mr. Almighty brought James 1:17 - 18 to my memory. It's been on my mind all day and caused me to uderstand, just how special childern are. I was a child once myself, as we all were.

Get to do first 50 hour maintance on tanks' tractor. Mainly oils and filters, check wheel lugs and minor stuff, shouldn't be a biggie...

I did have to adjust the fan and AC belt tensioners. And I asked about "cruise control" not working it's a big ole electro magnet located under the tractor that holds the steel arm of the forward HST pedal in position. The mechanic said it should have 12 volts to the plug when the switch is on and I might need to adjust it closer to the arm so it catches when on, makes sense. Here I was looking all over for a link arm for the pedal... nope that's not it, it's a magnet.

Tank likes his tractor and believe me if he could operate it, he would all day long. My daughter in law says that boy is a hot mess. I might install a buddy seat in the cab for him. But he would.most likely lick my face when I least expect it then.
