here are some beans from today's shelling out. i love the color of these but you can't really see it very well in this picture, there's some green and blue in that gray...
the white beans with the pattern were added for some contrast, but also because they're interesting too. i did plant...
there's a guy i know locally who i used to see at the library when he was tiny. he's now about 8 inches taller than i am and a good 50lbs or more too. heh, i can't still help think of him as the little shaver... we get along fine and still talk about books when i see him (he works there now...
true, dry beans do take up space to grow and do need picking and shelling but they are not that hard to do. i use them as a cover crop (which at times fails if i don't get around to weeding them soon enough), but i also grow rather wimpy bush beans that if i would instead grow pole beans they...
i have continued regrets about getting rid of some old paperwork. don't give in to these modern bits of ideas about how sane people should live. be strong. you'll need it to move those boxes again sometime...

hahaha! yep, it's a good thing i enjoy gardening... :) if i didn't i'd have gotten out of here years ago somehow.
i forgot to mention the field to the south that they replanted with grasses which has been blowing tumbleweed like chunks of grass that has seeds in it which is getting caught by...
well, err, ... :)
the small garden i need to weed is the least effort thing i'll need to do, after that i have several projects that i'd like to do that probably won't get done but we'll see what happens. they are old gardens with rocks that need to be redone because so many weeds are growing...
