Coffee's Ready, Come and Sit on the Porch

Just got a weather update that in a couple days our lows will be in the high 40's! WoW! Fall might really happen. I'd almost given up.

Coffee's Ready, Come and Sit on the Porch

We're not there yet. We've got a bit of cooler weather coming this week. Lows will be in the 50's!! Highs in the high 60's and low 70's. I'm kinda excited about that, lol.

    What's for dinner?

Kinda sorta. I've never made it with stuffing mix - mostly because I never have that stuff around. It sounds like it would be great though. However, I have used ritz cracker crumbs in place of bread crumbs. That's pretty tasty too.

    What's for dinner?

I'm jealous! I went to the freezer but didn't dig very deep. First thing I came to was pulled pork from a couple weeks ago. I froze several bags in small serving size - just enough for DH and me to enjoy. His blood sugar was kinda low so got to indulge in a small potato. He stuffed that...

    Food prices June 2021

Do you buy organic oranges? I'd be worried about pesticides...

    Frustratedearthmother's Journaling Journey

Cool! Looks like there may be options. Not sure they would work with the kind of staples I have but might be an option in the future. I've been up since 2:30am. DH's blood sugar alarm went off then. It made for a convenient potty time, and I couldn't fall asleep after. There's a line of...

    What's for dinner?

Ok - now I have a hankering for pot roast. Need to go dig in the freezer.

    Let’s talk about pigs

I've raised pigs and for the most part I love them! My first experience owning pigs was when my former dH brought home two wild pigs that a friend of his had trapped. I had zero experience with pigs and they had zero experience being a farm pig. They were in a pen that I didn't have to...

    Frustratedearthmother's Journaling Journey

Did some finishing touches to the coop this morning. Brought in a feeder, instead of feed on the ground. Brought in a real waterer instead of a dog bowl. Hung their roost a bit more securely than just leaning it on the wall, cleaned up my mess and put my tools away. Glad to have that part of...

    Frustratedearthmother's Journaling Journey

Finished closing in the coop yesterday. It was a little more challenging than I had thought it would be. Why, you might ask? Our weather forecast mentioned there might be widely scattered showers. I had been working for maybe an hour and was about an hour away from completion when the skies...

    What's for dinner?

Absolutely! This morning I'll cook extra sausage patties when i cook breakfast. They go nicely in the freezer and are easy to pull out when we're ready for breakfast. I do the same with bacon. Makes mornings a little easier. Eggplant didnt happen last night. Salad for DH and I had some...

Coffee's Ready, Come and Sit on the Porch

Oh goodness! So glad it's something that is treatable. We went through DH's brain surgery a little over a year ago. A good neurosurgeon is a wonderful thing!

    What's for dinner?

I use the eggplant rounds as the "crust." Top it with sauce, cheese and pepperoni or sausage or anything else I can find. It's not pizza - but it's edible. You could almost call it a cousin to eggplant parm...but not exactly, lol.
