Messy winter storm rolling in. Have nowhere to go this weekend. Soup and hunkering down the next 36 hours

Sat down with my Baker Creek Heirloom Seed catalog this morning with a hot cup of coffee. Wife insisted I order something, so I picked out about a half dozen things. Lol, radishes, onions, and cabbage. My German roots are showing. Did check the every expanding contents of the seed box...

One of the half pint jars of mushrooms didn't seal. Mixed some in with eggs and cheddar cheese for scrambled eggs this morning. So good

Since the original thistle feeder was getting mobbed since I moved it to the backyard away from Grand Central Station in the front yard, I bought a second feeder. All feeding perches are full with a waiting queue.

These are so ridiculously easy to do and end up being so tasty and convenient

Have replaced (standardized) all of the door knobs in the house as of this post. Had to do something while the mushrooms were in the canner. 9 knobs, 6 different styles. Not sure why all of the bed rooms were keyed locks

Oh, and this was done in the new electric Presto pressure canner. Worked great

15 pints total. Did 8 pint jars and 14 half pint jars. Only a teeny tiny waste when cleaning them

Oh boy, sliced mushrooms are on sale BOGO. The wife is itching to try the new canner. Guess what the next 48 hours might entail

It was delivered safely on Monday! Felt good
