    What's for dinner?

DH had a snack plate with cheese, radishes, onion, olives and jalapenos. Not my thing but it works for him. I had that apple and peanut butter I thought about earlier.

    What's for dinner?

Nixed the salmon. Went shopping today and bought a cauliflower crust pizza that we devoured as a late lunch when I got home. I'm still stuffed so not sure I'll have anything else. However, I have a hankering for an apple and peanut butter. Might or might not...

    How we heat our homestead

During all this cold I was thinking about your heating set up. How often do you have to feed the furnace? Does the fire last overnight?

    What's for dinner?

We had chili last night. Thinking salmon tonight...unless I change my mind. That's always a possibility...

Coffee's Ready, Come and Sit on the Porch

Didn't drag my lazy butt out of bed in time to put the trash out. Oh well... I enjoyed the extra sleep enough to make up for the aggravation. First cup going down good! I'll feed the critters and head off to town so I can spend a whole bunch of money on feed for the critters and groceries...

Coffee's Ready, Come and Sit on the Porch

My goats are scarfing up the hay like they'll never eat again. Slow down guys, there's more where that came from!

    Frustratedearthmother's Journaling Journey

Today will be un-doing all these freeze preps. I guess I can get rid of the 20 gallons of water sitting in my kitchen. Need to move some chicken tractors that I had pushed together and covered with a huge tarp over the tarps they already have on them. I'm sure they'll appreciate some clean...

Coffee's Ready, Come and Sit on the Porch

Geeze, I've gotta get over this sleeping in thing. I have too much to do to stay in bed until after 8 (pushing 9). Gonna have to suck down this cup of coffee and get busy.

    Frustratedearthmother's Journaling Journey

Thanks! It was a nice stay at home, low key day. Just how I like it! DS wanted to take us out for dinner, but I delayed until next weekend when the weather is over this hissy fit!

    Frustratedearthmother's Journaling Journey

Slept well last night and (like a miracle) so did DH. Did morning chores. Had my usual talk with myself about "why the he// am I doing this?" Had no good answer except for some sort of self-imposed punishment, lol. Eight months out of the year I love it... DH managed to do his own...

Coffee's Ready, Come and Sit on the Porch

LOL! I get it! You're saying I'm a weather wuss without actually saying I'm a weather wuss! That's ok - I totally agree!

@flowerbug Thanks for that recipe. Years ago I had that one, or one very similar.

    What's for dinner?

That fish looks delish! We had round 2 of collards and sausage. Might've actually made those brownies I've been threatening to make for a week. Stuffed my face with a couple of them and the rest will be individually wrapped and stashed in the freezer.

Coffee's Ready, Come and Sit on the Porch

Well put @FarmerJamie and I whole-heartedly agree! Like a lot of us I pop in multiple times a day but sometimes don't really have time or information to post. I've been guilty of clicking a like button and moving on. Other days, when I'm inside and not so time stressed, I really try to respond.

How we added chickens to our homestead

Great coop and run. I can't imagine needing to protect my birds against bears!
