Today will be un-doing all these freeze preps. I guess I can get rid of the 20 gallons of water sitting in my kitchen. Need to move some chicken tractors that I had pushed together and covered with a huge tarp over the tarps they already have on them. I'm sure they'll appreciate some clean ground. I've been pulling handfuls of chickweed to give them some greens. We've got a bonus crop of it this year.

I'm giving some hens to my neighbors as soon as they've got their new coop built. They were working on it in their garage but yesterday they moved it out and it was sitting in front of their garage. Hope that means they'll get it moved into the fenced area soon. I'm ready to move these birds on to their new home and re-arrange my remaining birds. Streamlining chores for the birds with larger self-feeders and waterers.

DH is sore this morning from his fall yesterday and his walking is pretty wobbly. Poor guy! It's really hard to be him. He keeps talking about some things he wants to do, and places he wants to go, while he's still able. That kinda breaks my heart and has brought me to big decision. I have to reduce my workload around here so I can give him more of what he wants. It'll take awhile but I've got to make some major cuts in the animal population around here. It starts with the chickens that are going to the neighbors. They'll also be getting some quail.

After that it's on to the goats. I'm pretty sure I'll sell all the babies this year. At least the ones that are on the ground now. I have 16 adult goats and I've got to pick a few of those to move on also. I'll likely sell 2 of the 3 bucks- the myotonic and a myotonic cross that I kept last year. That would leave the Boer buck for now. I've been thinking about bringing in a Kiko buck. Get rid of two and get one - not too bad, lol.

Probably sell the myotonic doe and her doeling. Another kiko/nubian goat that I really like but she doesn't like me. I don't have time to be dealing with a goat that I can't get my hands on when I need to. I have another young, beautiful doe that hasn't kidded yet - she may be on the list if she doesn't kid this year. She has until May. She'll likely be put in the freezer if she can't produce.

Lots to think about - lots to do.
