    Frustratedearthmother's Journaling Journey

Yep, I've got at least one more - and possibly 3 left to kid. Two of 'em aren't being obvious so time will tell. I'd be ok if they didn't.

    What's for dinner?

Pulled out a home canned quart of brisket chunks, another home canned quart of charro beans and threw 'em together. Also added some left-over green beans. Not sure if I'll add anything else or just consider it done.

    Frustratedearthmother's Journaling Journey

It's been a goat day - all day! Babies this morning and later had a call from a guy who buys goats from me almost every year. He came out, looked around and spoke for EIGHT goats. He'll be back this weekend to pick 'em up. I need to get busy worming and doing toltrazuril treatments. Gotta...

    What's for dinner?

I've never tasted a parsnip. I've tried growing them several times, but it's never happened. I wonder if I "weeded" the seedlings?

    Frustratedearthmother's Journaling Journey

Two more bucklings added to the kid count this morning. I'll be glad when kidding season is OVER with. Maybe two more does left. One of 'em has a good belly going but no udder development yet. The other one barely has a belly at all. She wouldn't be due until May(ish) if she even settled...

    What's for dinner?

That's what I ended up doing with 'em. They were good, but next time I'm going to have a couple pieces of bacon fried and crumbled with 'em. And, of course fry them in the bacon grease. See above, lol. I've done that several times and we really like 'em that way. I was trying to go low cal...

    Frustratedearthmother's Journaling Journey

Up at 3:30am for no good reason at all. DH was noisy and restless and after waking up I couldn't get back to sleep. Boo! We had some rough weather last night. DS called and said they had what was a possible tornado or extremely high straight line winds go over their house. Knocked some...

    What's for dinner?

Got in the garden but didn't pick collards. Grabbed a turnip and a few carrots and a bunch of chickweed that I split between the pigs, chickens and goats. Best chickweed "crop" we've had in several years. Hmmm, wonder if I should mix some in with a salad like I've done previously. Depends on...
