YES, yes it is. I keep hearing yankees saying that southerns can't drive in the snow. Ask why does everything shut down with such little snow. Well it's little snow because it was 70 yesterday and it started as rain, then wet, wet, wet snow then snow that's still melting as it hits, (I think if...
That pic is after getting a lot of rain this past month. I couldn't get hay in July. I wanted 24 round bales, looked at price and decided maybe 16 and a lot more grain this winter. I finally got 8 last week. 4 from 2 different people. There was a sign at the gas station in July for square bales...
Thank you and I should miss a little traffic by leaving 22 hours late. Yea I should've left 7 hrs ago. I got to playing with the boys. It'll just suck tomorrow and Sun. I hope there is no extra problems, the reason I like to leave early. That and to be set up, find the job site, and the grocery...
Well that's still 8 hrs of sleep and it's dark at 8 and 4. The difference is you can get ready for the day at 4 while waiting for the sun to come up. Also time to get your rain gear on. I hosted yesterday and got up late. Although it's been hours now, I should be getting on the road now (heading...
Get well and sorry your missing the best feast of the year. Yea you didn't need THAT reminder. But here's to ya :hugs
I used to think that. I got to thoroughly enjoy it, knowing they are out doing their job.
ah just throw out some scratch on the ground. Really that's all it takes. Really. They are very independent.
If your neighbors didn't claim them though I'd try to coax them into the coop. No They will NOT breed your chickens if turned out to free range. That's a freak anomaly when penned...
I put the mini steer oxen/feeder in the garden. There is still a little grass and he can fertilize. Plus it makes carrying water a shorter trip.
:( Sauerkraut in general. Love the cole slaw though.
Good advice. You can stretch the fall garden a lot this way. Most of those plants like spinach...
I had a buddy who wore thick wool socks all year. He said they helped wick sweat and greatly helped fatigue and sore spots from boots. I've tried it and it does help with comfort, fatigue and getting random sores/blisters on my feet. With the sweating no help to maybe worse. I still wear them a...
I change socks after lunch or right after work before going home, and try to wear sandle's or some other shoe during lunch and on the drive home.
I've done that a few times. Not enough to tell a difference. I should all the time, I guess.
My feet/souls look sunburnt before even getting dressed...
I wish I had some random guineas show up. The neighbors ran out 2 summers ago. They spent years with less than 20 in the early spring then over 40 then dwindle back down. I hope the critters don't get'em
I'll try and leave early. I'm always late the day I leave spending those few more minutes...
I may be near you again @CrealCritter next Fri. Will be going across MO 60, KY I-24 headed to VA. Only problem is I know me and I always leave late. Part of why I'm going to try to leave Fri instead of Sat.
Good day SS. 24 this morning with 14 for the wind chill. Supposed to be a lovely 17 tomorrow.
We may have to implement that. We home school and they are very driven by breakfast. They usually want their cereal as soon as the sleep gets out of their eyes.
They can make good alert dogs. During the day they are quick to fly up and set off that alarm when dogs, cats, coyotes,.... show up. At night they are about as defenseless as a chicken.
I should get some more.
