The biggest pumpkin is the one I picked yesterday and forgot to bring in. The other one was weed whacked off the vine and I was trying to do some more weeding and found it.

Went out to feed the ducks and found a pumpkin that I forgot yesterday. I went and told my neighbor that her daughter can pick the pumpkin growing over the fence so she said she will trade me a butternut squash for the pumpkin. Works for me

I didn't know if it was ready to pick but I also couldn't see the green until after I picked it so if it's not ripe it's fine because I still have so many more in the garden. The small one on the top right just fell off the vine

That pumpkin got to that size and it took a month or two to turn orange. The new ducks for Prince Charming because Whiner killed the other 2 I had.

Dessert is ready

I decided to make some cakes last night. I made them from scratch and WOW the house smelled so good last night. I made a chocolate and lemon cake. I used the duck eggs for both and I think the lemon cake is going to be devine.

I'm taking knowledge from all of you here and my husband is going to think I am frackin nuts but he didn't wait long enough before we got married so oh well he'll get over it. LOL 🤣

I'm going to try to get Cheeks outside for a while. She's getting cabin fever so since she's still not healed fully from Whiner attacking her she is not happy about being inside.

Haven't been here since I just got the run covered before the rain starts. Not sure when it will start but better safe than sorry. I don't want to try to bring 11 chickens inside to dry out.

I changed the dressing on Cheeks and it's healing beautifully. I'm keeping it covered to 1) prevent flies from getting in it, 2) to keep it from itching like mad. She's still staying inside though because I still don't want the other girls, mice and flies hurting her.

I should try to find one but I will still be paranoid about her possibly getting an infection so I will just keep her in the living room.

Cheeks is walking around and talking to me. I'm keeping her inside to prevent flies, mice and possibly Whiner or even one of the other girls getting to her because she has bare skin.
