So I have been trying to get the roosters processed but I ended up tossing them because I wasn't confident enough to allow anyone to eat them considering it took me so long to process one fully. One got away so I thought he would just start stinking up the property but no he's now under my porch 🤬🫣. Whiner decided he needed to try to take out a pullet but she's still alive and I have her inside and she has been eating and did take a couple of sips of water.

Today after I got Cheeks all set up with food and water, I was trying to get the run done but the other girls are coming at me like mom, mom, mom, you brought us more food come on mom give us more food. I came back inside and checked on Cheeks and found out that she's an olive egger. She laid an egg today despite having a lot of her back feathers ripped out by Whiner. He's lucky I'm not plucking him right now.

I changed the dressing on Cheeks and it's healing beautifully. I'm keeping it covered to 1) prevent flies from getting in it, 2) to keep it from itching like mad. She's still staying inside though because I still don't want the other girls, mice and flies hurting her.
