What's the recipe for the Amaretto?

Keep an eye on shopgoodwill.com. I've bought 3 used ones in good shape. Paid between $30 and $70 for them with shipping.

If I have to buy veggies to can I buy frozen. They are fresher than "fresh" and can pretty well.

Broilers are ugly birds but I've never had any as ugly as the ones in the pictures.... We have 22 outside waiting for the lucky few who are going to the fair to get home so they can all move to the freezer.

The ones I was thinking of/talking about are like regular Ziploc bags that have an airlock on the front below the zipper and can be used over and over with washing.

There are handheld vacuum pumps and bags to go with them. Our local walmart/kmart keep them by the large vacuum sealers. They run about $20 for the electric pump and $5 for the manual one. I have both. Use one in the house and one is in my camping gear...

I had some jars doing that until I started running my sealer twice on each jar. It doesn't pull the lid down tight enough with just the one cycle of my sealer.

We've been looking at the freeze dryers and it's on the list

I'd keep the ramen. You don't have to use any/all of the seasoning packet that comes with it. You could make your own instead.

Canned 3 jars of chicken, 4jars of chicken stock and 8 jars of strawberry preserves, which hasn't set up.....

I had to get a new washer. Durned thing leaked water everywhere..... I got 2 lamancha goats, one just delivered twins and the other is due soon. I also got a solar oven and a milker for the goats.

Goat milk? I was looking at buying a separator but if freezing will give me enough cream for butter I'll make room in the freezer for it. It would be much cheaper. My first goat kidded Sat and the kids aren't emptying her and she is soooo full so I've been milking her in the morning after...

If they dry out you can wet them again. The soap is still there. I keep some in my truck and re wet them when I need to.

Does she have a smart phone? I have a droid and the kindle and nook apps are free. Lots of free books available as well.

Natural gas is great until there is a problem with the line. A couple of years ago Albuquerque, or one of the surrounding burbs, lost their natural gas and there were massive problems for people up there. No heat, cooking fuel,water pipes freezing and bursting. Such a mess. I prefer propane...
