    recycled wool sweaters

So do the sweaters have to be all wool to do all these cool projects? I have a cute sweater I'd love to recycle into something, but am not sure if it's wool or not. I can't give it away, because it has a stain on it and has sentimental value besides. Can't wear it because even though I'm sure I...

    Sewing Machines

I'm going to get a sewing machine so I can learn how to sew and was wondering what brand you all would recommend. I'd love to get a treadle machine, but the one Lehman's has is too expensive and finding an older one seems difficult. So..it looks like I'll be stuck with an electric one for now...

    Tips for women on rape

Thanks so much for sharing! I learned so much from it. It was surprising to learn that women with cut hair are less of a target. Makes me happy that I keep mine cut :)

cautionary tale for those considering cash cache

There was a recent article in one of the local papers about people who stash money. I couldn't believe it how people willingly told the reporter where they stashed their cash. Now it's out in public where they stash it and thieves will know where to look. :idunno

What line of work are you in?

No, I have never heard of it. I'll have to see if our local library has it. There is tons of hope that your son will function in society :) Have you ever tried diet, supplements etc? Trying to eat as little sugar and gluten, plus taking supplements has me quite a bit. Also...my parents pushing...

What line of work are you in?

I became interested in Asperger Syndrome when I was diagnosed with it four years ago at the age of 21. My Dad likely has it and my Mom has many of the traits. Life hasn't been easy, but I have been blessed in so many ways. :)

What's your areas most likely disaster and how are you prepared?

Hey, I'm a CERT too! :) :) I highly recommend the program. Not only do you learn how to be prepared for disasters and what to do, but you're trained and available to help your community. Floods and tornadoes are the biggest threat in my area. We CERTs already got activated once this year to...

What line of work are you in?

Took a college course to be a phlebotomist, but never got a job doing that because I lacked experience. I've worked at a pet store and a boarding kennel, but have been a custodian at a medical wire manufacturer for nearly four years now. My dream is to help educate Christians and Homeschoolers...

What cirriculum do you use in Homeschooling?

I'm a homeschool alumna, and my parents used a little bit of everything, I think :) We did use the library ALOT. Mom never had to use formal history with us-she just turned us loose at the library and we taught ourselves history. My advice...do what's best for each child. Each one learns...
