if you're able to see movement when you candle, i'd assume that means they're doing fine. if the air sacs look small, that usually is indicative of the humidity being too high. i've never actually put eggs in "wrong side up" but i would definitely not think of it as a death sentence. just think...
i'd also like to see photos of your setup :)
i've been wanting to try aquaponics for years now, i think this spring we might actually do it... we're trying to figure the logistics of having an entirely outdoor system (no greenhouse).
just fyi, be careful if you try dumpster diving. some grocery stores actually pour bleach (or similar) over their dumpsters' contents, specifically to prevent anyone from being able to use their food waste. not all of them do this by any means, but, it's something to be aware of.
do not use neosporin. that's the #1 mistake that people make with piercings - but a piercing is a puncture wound, and neosporin will trap bad things in the puncture.
call your piercer who did it for you, they should be able to tell you exactly how to care for an infected cartilage piercing...
i agree, but, there's always going to be some people who don't care and do it inhumanely, legal or not. but making it illegal only encouraged more criminally inhumane slaughter operations... making it legal again drastically reduces the black market profitability, and so decreases the instances...
what are you wanting to use the table for?
i often find that light-weight tables are just not good enough for if i want to use to tools or something on them... they wobble and bounce around. i much prefer a solid, heavy workbench for in a shop type environment.
i'm okay with it.
making it illegal + the tanking of the economy did two things: 1) cause a huge problem with people abandoning/starving/inhumanely slaughtering their unwanted horses, and 2) create a black market for horse meat which encouraged criminals to steal and inhumanely slaughter pet...
that's so exciting, congratulations! :) have you ever considered setting up an online store as well? that's what i do, i use etsy.com as my main storefront. that way i have no overhead, don't have to man a physical shop, and reach a much wider customer base. i wish you well with your business!
that's so inspiring though :) my basement is also kind of a horror show as far as cosmetics go, but, i use it as my metalsmithing studio, so it actually works in my favor that it's completely unfinished (less flammable!) so i just haven't even tried to do anything with it.
oh yeah, i'm...
oh yes, i'm very familiar with youtube tutorials etc.
the problem with youtube though is that you can take almost any given subject - like laying tiles - and you'll find 20+ videos of people showing how they did theirs, but they'll all be different and rarely will there be an explanation as to...
hehe you're getting me all excited thinking about renovating the bathroom... i agree, that would probably be our best starting point (and probably the place that is in most need of TLC anyway). i tend to get kinda down over wintertime, but having projects can often help me with that... so...
wow, that looks fantastic!! :) thank you so much for putting up the photos, it really gives me hope that one day we might be able to do similar. it's amazing how nice it came out!
i think i'm gonna reply to your other post in here, if that's okay, since i don't wanna hijack the other thread :)...
i would love to be able to renovate my own home, but i'm terrified of messing it up by trying anything. =/ do you happen to have any recommendations for helpful resources (books or online) for very basic beginner type things? :)
:thumbsup
agreed. i AM one of those young people, and while i think i have more practical skill than some do, i know i'm waaaay below the curve for most SS type things. and i'm also trying to teach myself more along those lines.
we're harvesting our last batch of chickens today (or some of them, anyway, i don't think we'll get all of 'em done today). this was our first try with actual cornish x meaties, which i wasn't planning on having this fall but we found a deal on craigslist that was too good to pass up: 24...
