I'm sorry, I should have clarified. Soap-free shampoo contains cleaners that are not detergent in orgin. Most vets and pet supply stores will have them, just check the labels. If you only need to bathe your pet once a month, bathe them just prior to applying their flea product. Just make...
A tip from your friendly vet tech here - If you use a spot treatment for fleas/ticks like Advantage or Frontline, make sure you bathe with a soap-free shampoo, or the flea product will be washed off. :)
Well, I ordered my kit, and it arrived a couple of days ago. I followed the directions for mixing liquid soap, and lo and behold - it worked! :D Although I must not have added enough water, because it's really more like a gel than a liquid. But I'm not complaining about that, a gel is less...
These are great recipes, and I'm so happy to find a good recipe for homemade pancake syrup, Heidi. I'd like to be able to buy only pure maple syrup, but sometimes the cost is prohibitive.
I'm trying like the dickens to stay away from products that contain high fructose corn syrup, and most...
I recently bought the TV-advertised "Green Bags", and I'm in LOVE with them! :love They really extend the life of fresh produce, and are reusable. Best of all, I found them at the Dollar Store, which did my frugal heart good! :P
My kids are grown, although I think in this day and age, homeschooling is a good idea. I just wanted to compliment you on your website, it's very impressive! :)
I'm in the outskirts, FarmerChick...almost to Denver. Did y'all have any trouble with lightning last night? A house in my neighborhood had a huge tree fall into it - thank goodness no one was home at the time!
Maybe we should get to get together sometime - you have chickens, right? :D
That is obvious. Because I didn't see any real invitation to constructive discussion, much less any openness to learning, I'm assuming this post is only about pot-stirring.
Funny you should bring this up, I just saw an epidsode of "How It's Made" the other day that showed the process. Now mind you, it was on a huge scale, but it does appear that you have to do a lot of washing and processing, etc. But then, our forbearers all did it to make their warm blankets...
I don't think this was weird at all. We're humans, why does using human milk shock us so much? I think maybe it's because society "trains" us that breasts are sexual organs.
And I tasted my milk when I was feeding my babies, too. It is surprisingly sweet, I can see why breast-fed babies...
If, after eating all the pickles in that store-bought jar you have plenty of pickle juice left over, don't throw it out. Simply put in enough of your favorite pickling veggies so that the liquid barely covers, and put back in the refrigerator. In just a short while, they'll be pickled! :)
